Las Vegas Wedding Planner – Red Rock Resort and Casino – Multi Cultural Wedding
“Do you know where we can rent an elephant…” those words from one of my first emails from Sasha had me hooked. Though the elephant didn’t make it to the wedding, there was so many amazing elements from Sasha and Jay’s wedding, the elephant wasn’t missed. Sasha and Jay live in the San Francisco area and loved the idea of a Las Vegas wedding. Shortly after deciding on Red Rock as their wedding venue, Sasha reached out to me for assistance throughout the planning process. They were planning two ceremonies, a Hindu ceremony as Jay is Indian and a Persian ceremony to honor Sasha and her family. Thankfully I had the experience of two prior Persian weddings under my belt, but Sasha and Jay put a lot of trust in me as this was my first time planning an Indian wedding. While I certainly felt challenged to plan and execute two fairly complex ceremonies (all inside of an hour and a half), it was such an amazing learning experience.
Red Rock Resort was the hub of all the activities as well as where most of the couple’s friends and family were staying. One of Sasha’s bridesmaids assisted with hair on some of the girls, while Layla from Sin City Makeup glammed up the Sasha and some of the bridesmaids. Enchanted Florist transformed the ceremony space and Moxie Studios captured everything just beautifully.
Sasha and Jay decided on a first look in their traditional Indian attire, followed by some beautiful couples photos in the Lobby Bar and around Red Rock’s beautiful property. From there we all staged for the ceremony. The procession included siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. It was so fun to watch the joy and excitement as everyone made their way down the aisle and to the Mandap. Because we were having a second ceremony, the Indian Ceremony was a somewhat condensed.
After their exit, Sasha and Jay quickly changed and joined again for a second first look. How cool!? I love that they were able to have this moment a second time. While this was happening, our team along with Enchanted Florist, and Sasha’s family reset the space to prepare for the Persian Ceremony. Again, a beautiful and lively entrance set the tone for a joyous second ceremony for these two.
Once the ceremonies were over, Sasha and Jay headed out for some formal photos while their guests enjoyed cocktail hour. A fun grand entrance was followed by guests joining on the dance floor around the newlyweds. Everyone danced and enjoyed themselves. After a quick break for dinner, the dance floor filled back up where the couple and their guests laughed and danced the night away.
I feel so honored to have been a part of such a unique and special occasion. Thank you to Sasha and Jay for trusting me and to all of the amazing vendors that had a part in making this day run so smoothly. A special thanks to Lydia and the Red Rock Wedding department. You are truly a joy to work with. And also to Moxie Studio who not only captured every detail of the day flawlessly, but also helped me in the layout of all of these images! XOXO
