Las Vegas Wedding Planner – Las Vegas Wedding – Historic 5th Street School
So, Bobby & Erin gave me the wedding of my dreams! Ha! Kidding, it’s the other way around. But seriously, if I were to do my wedding all over again, it would be so similar to theirs! I met these two at a bridal show and fell in love with their down to earth personalities. It was so fun to be a part of the planning process with them. Erin and Bobby chose The Historic 5th Street School for the spring wedding. The brick building, dark wood and adorable fountain totally appealed to Erin’s style.
As the day drew closer, I was stalking the weather like it would change if I looked at it 100 times. Thankfully it wasn’t going to rain, but we were up against the next worse thing, WIND. My heart shattered just at the thought of moving this design inside. Everything would have been lost! Thankfully, the forecast showed the winds tapering off around 2:00, an hour before the ceremony, and they did just that. Though set up was a bit of a challenge (think flying napkins, falling easels, toppling bud vases, and candles that didn’t stand a chance of staying lit), none of that mattered as the wedding itself wasn’t affected. It was absolute perfection as the prelude music began!
Erin & Bobby’s wedding was officiated by a close friend of theirs. It was a beautiful and personal ceremony. For cocktail hour, we shifted everyone to the North Courtyard. There, guests were served beverages served by Liquid Courage and appetizers from Masterpiece Cuisine, as they played different yard games. While everyone was enjoying cocktail hour, we were moving and grooving back at the ceremony and reception site. After moving the chairs to the guests tables, DJ Harry O was installing a dance floor and Kevin from LED Unplugged was setting up our “LOVE” sign. It was a well oiled machine as everything come together perfectly. The rest of the evening was filled with cocktails, barbecue and dancing! What more could one want? Erin and Bobby opted out of the traditional cake and decided to go with a pie bar instead! What a hit! One of my favorite touches were the “doggie bags” for those guests who wanted to take their pie to go! How precious are those pups!?!?
When Erin told me the vendors she was considering for the day, I got giddy! I was able to work alongside some of the best wedding vendors Las Vegas has to offer—and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. From the invitations and stationary by Paper & Home, swoon-worthy florals by Layers of Lovely, these unbelievable images by Chelsea Nicole to the tunes by Harry O that kept the dance floor packed all night….I was absolutely in wedding planner heaven!
My favorite moment of the day (besides the I Do’s of course) was when Erin was able to see everything set up! She looked at me, gave me a hug and said, “I didn’t know what my vision was, but this is it! This is my dream wedding!” I fought back tears. My heart and soul goes into every event I plan and execute, but to know you’ve been a part of making dreams come true is seriously the most rewarding thing ever!
